How the Heart Beats

by Samantha   Apr 13, 2007

A million times a second
My heart beats steadily
Talking, laughing with you
Is not quite an ease

It's like the pounding of the rain
In a heavy thunder storm
When I feel youre upset
My heart is truly torn

It's like the galloping of horse's hooves
In the far off grassy plains
Or it's the beating on the drums
Or the twinkling of a tambourine

My heart sings a million different songs
If only you would listen
You would know how true it is
When I say my heart beats just for you
