Shadows

by Lonely Little Dreamer   Apr 13, 2007

Lost in the shadows.
Dark as night.
Chills and shivers.
Numb deep inside.

Haunting images.
Creations of the mind.
Looming closer.
Constraining ones cries.

Deep in the shadows.
One soul remains.
The soul of a child.
Slowly dieing within.

Shadows suffocate the child.
Consuming the mind.
The child gives up.
Disappearing into the cold night.

All laughter is gone.
Not a single tear is shed.
Thanks to the shadows,
Inside ones head.

    by failure by choice

Very cryptic methinks. very sad, gloomy... doesnt focus so much on structure, but more on emotion, and does the job very well.
