Trapped

by Lonely Little Dreamer   Aug 3, 2008

Walls built of emotional bricks,
Slowly start closing in.
Filling up, I'm suffocated;
As your words take life from me.

Soul stripped;
Naked, innocent, sweet to the taste.
Greedily you eat away,
At what was once carefree.

A feigning heart, all thats left.
Ripped out of my living flesh,
Thrown into an empty shell.
Forever trapped behind this smiling mask.

My own personal hell.

    "Walls built of emotional bricks,

    `This was amazingly said. Walls bulit of emotional bricks. You have so many emotions and it's like you have walls built up around you and you are being closed in and everything kind of is getting worse. Wow. This was just wonderful said, it was so understandable as well.

    "Filling up, I'm suffocated;
    As your words take life from me."
    `I loveee how you say you are suffocated, it's a wonderful way to put it. But it's a nice descriptive word!

    "A feigning heart, all thats left.

    Thrown into an empty shell.
    Forever trapped behind this smiling mask."
    `This was probably my favorite of all the stanzas. It was sad and it definatly brought that emotion out more and more. Well done.

    Overall: Excellent write. Very emotional write. It was sad but you could definatly tell how the person was feeling. I love how you said you were trapped [it's like your own personal hell] & you are filling up with emotions and the walls are closing in on you and everything is basically just so overwhelming. Sad write, but I love the way you worded everything. True feelings in this one, good job. 5/5.
