by Behind Blue Eyes   Apr 20, 2007

It happened just a few days ago.
Lives were taken too soon.
A man mad enough to believe it was his right
To sentence innocent people to doom.
Not only was it the victims, their family and their friends
That were effected in this unfortunate affair,
But the world cried along with them;
Millions of hearts did tear.
A two hours life changing event,
Striking fear into the world.
Loved one's as the victims;
Mama's grown boy, Daddy's little girl.
Even the strongest cried that day.
Their hearts were filled with sorrow.
Loved one's lost, they didn't know,
They would never see tomorrow.
Prayers made for those injured.
Condolences for those lost.
Nothing can be done to mend the heartache
Caused by actions made without thought of the cost.
Time may ease the pain
Felt throughout our heart.
Memories of our loved ones,
From out mind, will never part.
It's events like this that remind us
That our lives can change in a sec.
Make the best of your life, while remembering
Those lost and injured at Virginia Tech.

    I love that you wrote a poem honering the Virginia Tech students, it was a very sad and senseless tragedy...
    Forever keeping them in my prayers and heart,
