My heart is crashing

Ive lost my love. my closest friend
my heart is crashing, falling to its end.
so many miles we are apart
so many tears are in my heart
my world has become what i most fear,
i am alone. i need you here.
lost without you, im dying inside
i wish i could drown in these tears ive cried.
my fingers are numb. my face is pale.
i lean over the edge and let go of the rail.
ive lost my love my closest friend
my heart is crashing as i fall to my end...

    I love the rhyme scheme and vibe of the built up emotion. What I love most is the how the last two lines coincide with the first two but are different; changing a few words.

    Very sad....
    did it really happen or is it just a poem?
    the losin your friend part? I know how losing a friend is, but not losing a friend that i love though. it must be really hard.
