Learn to Listen

by Molly Knudsen   Apr 27, 2007

When I try to talk to you,
You turn and walk away,
I try to make you hear me out,
You don't care what I have to say.
I try to talk to you once more,
The pain tearing at my heart,
I know I can't go on like this,
Because it's ripping me apart.
I take my knife once more in hand,
And then I do my worst self-harm,
I'm so depressed right now you see,
I take it out on my own arm.
But soon these wounds will heal,
Though you I can't forgive,
You see there is still one reason,
For me to want to live.
The reason though it's simple,
It's one word in fact it's Friends,
They give me stability,
And their comfort never ends.
I wrote this so you would listen,
And hear me one last time,
To let you know you've hurt me,
And so I end this rhyme.
