A Perfect Memory

by Jemma   Apr 30, 2007

I can see your face
Just as it was that night
So long ago, or just yesterday

The moonlight hit your face
And you had to close your eyes
Against its kiss

I remember the ebony cloth
Taking on a silver sheen
And it took away the sharpness of your face

I remember so clearly seeing that faint wisp of air
As it crept past your lips
And that, oh so subtle, hint of a smile

Just one moment you stood
Blindly facing the lunar visage
I remember how you looked so perfect
A perfect silver angel
Just one moment, but I remember
