The Darkness

As the darkness surrounds you

Soon the walls will start to cave in

You want to give up

Thinking this battle you cannot win

Letting the voices invade your mind

Giving them the control

For you've given them your life

Now what else have they stole

Using your body

As a pawn in their game

You living your life

Full of nothing but self-hatred and shame

You put your head down

To look away from everyone around

As they find your body

Laying lifeless on the cold hard ground

You didn't want to live

But you didn't want to die

And now you find yourself in the darkness

This is where you'll always lie

They've stolen your soul

What more could they need

For the darkness is full of one thing

And that would be greed

It takes over a part of you

Then it comes back for more

It reopens your wounds

Leaving your body broken and sore

They'll put blinders over your eyes

Just so you can't see

Because they all want you miserable

That who they want you to be

Soon the world will be black

Sitting in the darkness of night

No more escaping

Off in the distance there is no light

All you have left is your heart

That has long been broken

Left tattered and torn

By words that were not spoken

You have one option

Listen to your heart or your head

But know that the voices

Would rather have you dead

You can't see around you

The darkness is ripping you apart

For seeing in the dark isn't done with ones eyes

But with ones heart

So choose carefully

Which one will you listen too

For I cannot choose

That decision is only left for you
