Protesting

by a broken smile with a broken heart is a poets life   May 2, 2007

Perfection is what we want,
But hypocrisy is what we're taught.
To be beautiful is our dream,
Yet we're fakers within.
To be careful is our way,
Yet we let it slip away.
Fighting wars is what some do,
Nothing is gained, everything is about you.
Scared to be alone
And the outside world considers you a loon.
The air is filled with sex,
Teenagers fighting with their "ex".
Pregnancy, drugs and low life's hard to come up
The media keeps them under the map.
how can we come out?
If you take away the chance to try.
