Solitude of Another Kind

by Amanda   May 2, 2007

She stands alone in a world full of hate

Pretending she has not a care

While her shoulders are buckling under all the weight

Dropping closer to complete despair

Day by Day with a smile on her face

She hides what's going on inside

Nightfall brings a smiles replace

And happiness is cast aside

She thinks on all of her mistakes

And how she lost her mind

Her heart once shattered still aches

And she's starting to completely unwind

Tears won't fall down her cheeks

And not because she doesn't want to cry

She has been trying for weeks

but she still cannot figure out why

No comfort is found from her torment

And no one truly cares to undertake that venture

Though she is the one that chose not to consent

Because no one seems to make an indenture

Finally she sleeps after a night of tossing and turning

Though she never thought it would transpire

And even though her heart is burning

She knows she's only preaching to the choir
