Anger

by Amanda Brown   May 3, 2007

When you get angry
Its anger at the wrong people, most of the time
your loved ones, your friends
or that someone you remember touching deep inside you

that person who holds your hand in the dark
when your too scared too sleep
when all that surrounds you is fear
they are the person who's there

The only person who can absorb your anger
with understanding and love
The only person who'll let you rant
as they know anger masks the tears

The anger within it scares me
it turns my heart to stone
I'll watch you walk out of the door
as i stand alone

Its easier to lose through anger than love
trust me I've done the pair
the anger that consumes my being
has trapped me in this nightmare
