Epidemic on the Street {Kryielle Sonnet}

by xTheEcstasyOfSuicidex   May 4, 2007

Take a sip from this disease,
Any glass you may eat,
Gargle as loud as you please;
Epidemic on the street.

Clothe yourself with the plague,
Muscle your way through the fleet,
To the pavement you will beg;
Epidemic on the street.

Bet on this and you're sure to lose,
For the worms you will soon greet,
Smile great; a happy bruise,
Epidemic on the street.

Take a sip from this disease,
Epidemic on the street.

    Wow I loved this poem. And I agree I'm not sure if this is what you meant but the message that I got from this was homelessness was like a sickness that needs to find a cure and I definatly agree with you. It's a disease that although not contagious is something that needs to be looked at with great sevarity(sp?) Amazing job for writing it like that. You have some very unique ways of showing your ideas. Well done. :)

    "Bet on this and you're sure to lose,
    For the worms you will soon greet,"
    ^ I didn't like the second line of the two above. It seemed unneeded, and sorta misplaced.
    Other than that this was yet another amazing poem. I loved the beginning, it really struck my attention, and kept it the whole way through.
    Keep up the great work!!

    Whooo! Number 200! xD You are now a golden poet, and very deserving of such. =) I loved this poem, it held a lot of emotion, and I read it a few times and fell more in love with it everytime I did read over it.

    "Clothe yourself with the plague,
    Muscle your way through the fleet,
    To the pavement you will beg;
    Epidemic on the street"

    Those lines, wow! I don't even know what to say, but they were truly amazing, Dear. I mean it.
