Reopend Wounds

by James Nappo   May 6, 2007

Feelings laid to rest,
only to be rewoken.
as if it just happened,
the familiar pain reopens.
memories of a better time,
when the world made sense...
when morals were straight,
as well as my head.
sleep's been lost over this,
and tears have all dried up.
tear open these wounds,
and see it all again.
tear open these wounds,
and take me back to that day.
i can't take much more of this,
it's tearing me apart.
