Lost

Lost in darkness.
unaware of where i was going
just knowing i had to escape
i stumbled down the seemingly
never ending path of destruction.
obstacles in my way, all i wanted was to be in the light
instead i wound up in the arms of my destroyer.
he caressed me and said everything would be fine
and he would lead me to the light.
he lied right up until he stole my heart and
then left me bleeding there in the path.
i died inside that night.
left there to wander the endless path of solitude
until the day the pain will disappear.
the day i will finally be found.
