My Deep Secret

by Tina   Apr 16, 2004

What you say cuts my heart, but i go on and play my part.
I smile cheerfully and put on a wonderful act, but if you'd look into my eyes you'd see the real fact.
You hurt me, abused me, made unworthy of your trust, now my heart feels like it should bust.
I need to get rid of this aching pain through out my heart, so i decide to play a different part.
Your words cut me so deeply that i needed to feel that pain, leaving me with one choice with no pyschical gain.
I take my knife, my get-away-from- the-world express, and cut my arms so deeply that i didn't feel worthless.
I had to make those cuts seem real, i had to express the way you made me feel.
Tomorrow you will see me with my smiling face, because no one will no what i did at my place.
You'll never know because nobody cares enough to find out, nobody will know what I'm really about.
What you say cuts my heart, but i go on and play my part.
