When My Life Began... Now As It Ends...

by ScarletDeLoup   May 8, 2007

At the hour of my birth,
The Harvest Moon was full and orange.
The trees, dressed in red and golden
Gowns shook with joy as they covered me
In a blanket of leaves. As the wind blew by,
It whispered in my Mothers ear:
"Careful... She'll be... A Fighter..."

Everything begins to fade...
Faces of my family, the sounds
Of them mourning my death...
I see them all at my casket, saying
Goodbye to empty shell. I whisper
Once more in each of their ears...
"Don't dwell on my leaving...Instead,
Dream of our next meeting."
