Mother

by ScarletDeLoup   May 29, 2007

The one person, dear to me,
Who’s closest to my heart.
The one person who’s been with me,
From the very start.

She adores my company,
And I adore hers back.
We love each other dearly,
And I know that for a fact.

She has such compassion,
I just cannot explain.
She has taught me how to love,
And how to endure pain.

Even when I was little,
She would comfort me.
Tell me bedtime stories,
With castles by the sea.

I think you’ve guessed who she could be,
Someone so devoting could only be.
She’s my loving Mother,
And we love each other dearly.

I wrote this for Mothers Day when I was in 7th grade.
