You Were Gone Before I Noticed.

by SmileeItsBritt   May 10, 2007

This lack of honesty will all come down eventually
When you least expect it to,
Your words lack something meaningful,
And your lies, you can't undo.

But to you, it doesn't matter
These explanations you forgot to mention
I could put on a dramatic show for you,
But it wouldn't even get your attention

I doubt you'd even notice,
Unless the world stopped spinning your way,
As you moved on from all that mattered,
I counted your steps as you walked away

And as the ending faded,
I wondered where It all went wrong
I let you so deep into my life
But before I knew it, you were gone.

    This is sad.
    I could actually feel hate.
like I'd say this to myself and feel hatred
    I loved this poem
and Don't know why it's not getting attention
    great work

I've felt this way too before...both with friendship and with lovers..it sucks, but such is life. I really enjoyed your poem, it caught my attention in the very beginning and flowed well until the very last word. 5/5 from me!
