Reh!

by Pete   May 11, 2007

I've had a lot of time and now my eyes are dried,
Saying my love's died, but miss her by my side.
I loved her before and I always will.
She filled a space no one else could fill!
Her face to be seen in the briefest of dreams
Seems to be seen in the leaves on the trees
Be it real or deceitful the feeling remains
The pains of our parting all starting again
The part of my heart that wants her to stay
Is screaming her name, while old memories replay!
The way that I'm feeling no healing today
Can I recall the way that things were?
Replay with no delay the way it was her
That lit up your days and shone through the blur
Was yours for a while it wasn't time to be hers
Something inside that defies to be heard.
Scream you don't need her and lie to the world.
She was that someone, the one special girl.
Yet I desire women who just can't be mine.
I'm writing this time to remind myself why
I design my life to be constantly tried.
Attempt to repent for all the lost time.
Sharing my heart, tearing apart all my pride.
Caring from the start, the smart moves are denied.
I adore her; yet deplore the way she makes me feel.
In a sense an attempt to conceal what's real.
Biding my; time to reveal my whole deal.
