Whispered touch

by caitlin   May 13, 2007

Tiny feet step close, treading over the scattered rubble
Heart stops, beats slow, he's gone, dust in the sky
whispering touches tingle her skin
sweet sinful kisses shadow her full lips
tears swarm her, caving in
heart broken, shattered she doesnt know why
running legs spring, tire, fall down
statue of strength, knowledge, and peace crumbles
screams rip the night looking for places to hide
holding her close he cries tears painfully clear
together they are one
back now he is never leaving for war is no longer his home
