Not Without You

Every time I think I've found the one
She turns around and proves me wrong
Every time whenever I thought I was right
The very next day she would be gone

Piece by piece my heart is breaking
In need of that special someone
Every moment that I spend waking
I ponder over what I did wrong

Did I love her too much?
I always showed her I cared
Did I hold her too soft?
Because I promised I would be there

I had been everything she wanted
I gave it all my best shot
I don't understand how I always
End up in this same lonely spot

I try to make sense out of it all
Every time I think I have learned
Yet I find myself back to the bottom
Ready to give up on everything I yearned

I feel so pushed and pulled by her
I want to be everything she wants me to be
Everything I shared with her is worth fighting for
I close my eyes and hope that she is meant to be with me

I hope love works things out
Because love always finds a way
No one is meant to be alone
I don't want to spend my days away
