When Children Cry

Shards of glass
cut porcelain skin
Dark eyes turned brass
from deep within

Angel wings
with feather tips
Singed with sorrow
by moistened lips

From deep in
a heart has died
A soul was silenced
and set aside

Then gladly
comes the tender rain
Washing away
a child's pain..

    This is such a sad write. The imagery and word choices are great. I read this on the main boards yesterday. You did a excellent job. Very heartfelt.
