I lost her

by david mitchell   May 20, 2007

How many times
Must a heart be broken
Until the pieces are one?

I hear the chimes
I feel the lock
But it is done

All the sublime
All the bad luck
It has came and gone

I am waiting for the sun to shine
I am waiting for the block
To leave so we can bond

No matter what I fine
No matter where I look
My heart will be without a tune

Until our bind
We once had can no longer be a joke
and our hearts at one

Ill be waiting in line
For you to come to me and take
My hand so the pieces are finally no longer alone

Until that time
Comes ill be a fake
And like a fool Ill be waiting as if I was on the moon

Interesting. I got lost at some parts of the piece. Had trouble finding meaning. I started thinking is something hidden? Really made me analyze it. Keep writting... I enjoy poems such as this.
