Cheerleader-[based on true story]

by Brittany   May 22, 2007

She goes to school everyday

Painted smile on her face

Picture of perfection

With a different guy every day

Cant settle for ordinary

No, ordinary isn't spectacular

So no skaters or stoners

Only jocks

She can hardly wait for parties

They give her the attention

She thinks she deserves

But after they use her enough

They throw her back

Into the rough

And find another

She waits, watching desperately

Wanting to regain the attention they once willingly gave her

From the new girl whose taking her place

So now she pays

First the captain

Then the quarterback

They tell her shes ugly

That shes worthless

But she shells it out anyway

Until one day she drops out of school

Shes pregnant and uneducated

Single parent in NYC

On welfare

Yet still gets around

Skaters and stoners

Wont even bother-

Not even on a good night

So one summer evening,

The anniversary of her demise

The child's new home becomes an adoption center

While mommy makes one last trip to her favorite destination:

The local pharmacy

Its well written. i don't like generalizing cheerleaders as "popular" or "stuck up" or anything because most are amazing people that work there butts of to get closer to there goals though.
