Ode Of the Cutter

by Brittany   May 22, 2007

Cutting is a way of life

Cutting soothes the soul

just don't cut too deep,

You might die

What a screwed up lie

We who cut are already dead

Our hearts are broken and drained

You can say we aren't aren't in the head

But in reality we are just pained

I watch as this blood seeps through the skin of my open wound

And the warmth comforts me more than my tears ever could

Or any one person, in that case.

So at my deathbed,

You may scoff

You can scorn

But nothing you say, or do, will comfort me more.
