I love how much this poem describes you, myself, and probably every other dedicated poet on this site. Everything you said is so true.

The pen is our vocal chords, plain and simply. I love how much you elaborated on that statement in this poem, though.

It seemed a little long. But I did like it just the same. The word choice was very good. I also liked how you described what writing poetry does and what it is for the person writing it. I gave this one a 5/5.

I adored this. As I'm sure any other poet on this site will as well. You put to the paper what we all think in our heads, and it was very well put at that. I'm speechless, lol.

"Just like our need to write is a fire of desire" alrite I really loved this line but I think that it should be reworded a little bit so it sounds less choppy. This was an amazing poem. I really loved it and the concept was beautiful. I really loved how you sumed up being a poet in the purest form. Wonderful work, no one could have said it better. 5/5

Oh, amen to that sister. It really annoys me when people want to know why I write and this poem says it all. Whether people like to read/write poems or not, it's just a silent voice. It's just another way for someone to say 'Hey, this is what I'm going through' or 'You, I really believe this' without actually speaking it and this poem really puts all that out there. This is a very good poem because it speaks for every one person who's ever written one. I'm really glad you wrote it. 5/5

I suppose you have read from some of my other comments about repetitive words. However, this poem needed those words. It was awesome. So true that when a person writes and exceptional poem that the reader can feel all the emotions, heartbreak, love and passion from the writers point of view. You have mastered that in this poem, it was truly a joyful read. So many times we wonder if we have gotten our point across with vocabulary choice. You nailed it. I felt the passion you have for writing and share in that with you. What a wonderful suprise this was to find. You are a very talented writer and I look forward to reading so much more from you.
On a side note sometimes the writers block we experience can unleash the most devastating work.
Thank you for entering the contest. It was a most enjoyable read.

I loved the detail you put into each line it really is true beauty. This piece I found to be capturing and altogether amazing. I wouldn't be able to pick a favorite part of this poem as it is all way too well written. I adored this piece so much, gorgeous. The emotion you portrayed again was written into a great depth and poured throughout this. I felt every word you wrote. The repetition, you honestly have got to be the best poet at using repetition. Well done. ~Mel
