He is near

The sun goes down,
as the light fades.
Pinks and Purples,
turn to dark shades.
The stars come out,
and shimmer on show,
on the dark blue canvas,
as the wind gently blows.
Peace decends from on high,
and settles all around.
My heart is at rest,
and true peace i have found.
The moon smiles down,
at me on this night,
blushes at the attention,
and shines ever so bright.
My Lord is with me,
i feel it oh so clear.
what a beautiful night,
He is ever so near.
