They Weren't There

by ellie   Jun 19, 2007

My tears are warm,
as they fall from my eyes.
I hear the rain fall,
between heavy hearted sighs.
My heart bleeds,
a river of heart ache and sorrow,
which is a forecast of,
what will come tomorrow.
I lay myself down,
as if this is the end.
A shoulder to cry on,
no on would ever lend.
They said they would be there,
always and in my time of need.
I look around, there is no one,
they just left me here to bleed.
It crushes my heart,
and causes my soul to despair,
they said they'd always be here,
but in the end they were never there.
