Giver

Nothing will ever be able to explain this feeling,
so real, so beautiful,
of the words that rise from the tip of my tongue,
responding to the pull.

you see, a word is nothing more than a sound,
a memory of speech,
yet sometimes you can make it more,
using it to teach.

i try to tame them one by one,
to learn them for myself,
to put them on my paper,
as i take them off the shelf.

there are so many words,
when they fall upon the earth,
they haunt me in my sleep, my dreams,
they symbolize rebirth.

but there are few talented people,
who just speak them to the crowd,
not is I, who writes mine down,
afraid to whisper them aloud.

for sometimes if you let the speech,
slip unwillingly from your tongue,
it fades into the oceans,
leaving you with none.

but I dare to let them flow,
as slips of paper fall,
when i run out of books to use,
stand writing, on the wall.

and though you may never know,
what it means to hear a river,
I try to put it into words,
for I am only a giver.

my only job is this, you see?
to give this secret to you,
so that maybe one day, someone will understand,
how a blackbird flew.

    I feel so horrible for these comments, I've been able to at leas ttell the others one thing wrong with each poem.

    I know I hate comments that just say 'amazing job' because, i know there's more to be done. I don't know if your'e the same way, but eh.

    Beautifully written piece, it is very true and ending is effective and very emotional. You used "word and words" too many times but rest of this poem is incredible. Imagery is also great and you created superb pictures with good wording. Flow is excellent in this one.
    Well done this piece really deserves 5/5
