Dead....

I hear your name,
and tears fill my eyes.
I feel your pain.
I cry your cries.
He won't be charged,
there was "no crime".
You were in the wrong place,
at a very bad time.
I see you lying there,
and your hand I want to hold.
I reach down and touch it,
like my heart, your hand is cold.
My true love is gone,
memories fill my head.
Your pain is still my pain,
so what am I if you're dead?
