Tick Tock Tick Tock...

The moment won't last
You don't have to fight
The precious seconds be cast
As day turns to night.

Lover's lips will not remain
And photographs will fade away
Again and again will come the rain
But this feeling cannot stay.

I never would've seen this
Photographs can lie
The bullets fired did not miss
A butterfly must fly.

Could I not hold you stronger?
Or float in time's deadly sea?
Would the song just play longer?!
And clock's hand's stop 'round you and me.

Alas, nothing is immune to time's boundless waves
Not man, nor beast, nor monument can resist the call of their graves.
