I walk

by missy   Jun 3, 2007

I walk down this road
so late at night,
i can't stand this load
grabbing my chest so tight.
i walk for the pain
i walk for the misery
i walk to keep sane
and to keep my dignity.

My feet keep aching
blisters start to appear,
my heart keeps breaking
as i shed so many tears.
my tears they mingle
in the sweet sweet rain,
i keep feeling this tingle
of anger and pain.

My one and only
has given up on me,
i feel so lonely
now that i am free.
A thousand aches
a thousands knives,
my heart slowly breaks
since you said your goodbyes.

Great poem 5/5 but if i may to make it better try changing the last line "since you said goodbye" to "since you said your goodbyes" it sounds better with the line "a thousands knives" because of the S on it... change it or keep it either way its a great poem and 5/5
