The Way

There was a time
my heart was in pain
The sun never shown
I only saw rain

The clouds rolled in
the sky turned grey
I looked towards heaven
and began to pray

My mistakes are vivid
they're clear in my head
I asked for forgiveness
Here's what I said:

"I'm far from perfect
but this you know.
I need your help
I have nowhere to go."

The rain let up
night turned to day
The tears dried up
you led the way

A smile on my face
A future in my hand
Thanks to you --
Alone, I never stand

    It has a few issues of grammatical errors and an unnatural flow. But then again, the message you depicted in this piece is rather thoughtful. I really, really admire works about Faith and Life; this is no exception to the rule. =]
