Once upon a time

Once upon a time their lived a young girl
Torn between love and hate
If only she could unlock her fate

Was it her destiny to live a life of tears?
To hold so much pain?
How could she possibly be sane?

She shed red tears
Down her arms and
Across her legs she bleed

Scars replaced pictures
This was her way to remember the past
Forever would these memories last

As tears shed
She grabs the blade
As she rips her pain fades

I’m giving up
She swears
Not one more day in this hell

Yet she cant bring herself
To bear
To just let her veins tare

Then one day
She meets a boy
And like a fool becomes his toy

She gives her heart to him
And just like that
Recovers the true facts

Love is a fantasy
It was never meant to be real
Its just another trick you think you can feel

As she gathers the pieces
Of her shattered heart
Her mind darts

Thank you she says
For giving me the courage to let go
And so. . . .

As she lays in the bathroom with tear stained eyes
The blade ready, with one last word she cries
I love you, goodbye

i didnt put much thought in this poem i just wrote but please comment!!!
