I'm Not Ready

I'm not ready to let you go.
I'm not ready to say goodbye.
As I stand here with mixed emotions,
And tears streming out of my eyes.

I'm not ready for the future.
Today and tommorrow maybe.
I don't want to talk to anyone.
I feel like a big baby.

I hope they're happy where you are,
Because they have you now.
I wish the sun would come out to shine.
But like me, it doesn't know how.

With these powerful emotions
That make my head throb,
I'll still love you anyways,
Even at your new job.

It kind of makes me wonder,
Why would you leave us now?
Why would you abandon us?
To me it's rather low brow.

But I have these memories.
And they belong to me.
I'm glad you came into my life.
I'm sad you had to leave.
