Goddess of the End

by Sar   Jun 20, 2007

Far among the stars
And heavenly celestials
Brightly does she shine
The goddess for ages untold

Silver hair and eyes of opal
A mind that does not think
Surrounded by a deep abyss
Into which even darkness sinks

Palest flesh and blood of ice
A grip as firm as stone
Clenched in her spindly hand
A rod of ebony bone

Forever does she stand there
Never moving, never stirring
A chilling, silent omen
Of what the gods could bring

And when you thought the spell would end
The rod does start to lean
It sends a world of emptiness
Into your soul and clings

Now horizontal, the demon staff
Your hopes begin to drop
A smile upon her demonic face
Despair, it seems, will never stop

You think of fleeing
But cannot move
The rod finally drops
And in split second waves
You only beging to realize
That this is the end.
