My inner phoenix

All i ever held dear was taken away
never have i felt such great sorrow than today
my heart, ripped to a thousand pieces,
only to be scattered and lost.
so much for the dreams that i held to for so long.
nothing can be done now...
or can there be something that survived this tragedy?
perhaps like a phoenix is reborn from its ashes, some hope may have remained...
life only goes in one direction, but there are miracles.
my scattered heart pieces itself slowly
i know this will be long, and full of misery but not regrets
the heaviness in my heart is finally being lifted
and so i shout in relief
though all appears to be gone...
something remained...
and i will go on.
the future is as bleak as a snowstorm,
dark like a tunnel,
there is zero visibility,
there is no sound,
there is only coldness...
it will be unlike anything i've ever faced,
yet i have faith.
all is not lost, merely lost for awhile.
life goes on after...
