A Wave of Change

by Rachel   Jun 23, 2007

The tide is crashing against the rocks,
and the moon shines down like a spotlight.
A change is in the air that blows your hair,
the midnight stars give their light
to the strangers in the night,
who are lost, trying to find their way.
The answers float up to the shore,
like a message in a bottle.
A rose lies delicately in the water,
letting the waves carry it.
Watching it sail away, in the distance,
feeling like your strength is going with it.
Falling stars are being wished on,
and dream are being fulfilled.
A gust of wind blows the leaves off the trees,
while the animals scurry around,
gathering food for the long winter.
The sky grows darker,
as the ground gets ready for the snow.
Yes, seasons are changing.
