Fool for You

by Twisted Heart   Jun 24, 2007

The comfort I've been feeling
Has eluded me tonight
I sit in solitude remorse
Pouring over tears I've cried.

Though the tattered memories
that fall upon the mind
Are just mere tips reflected
In the scattering of time.

I search for all the happiness
that came from loving you
But distant beats the heart tonight
For pain you put me through.

Inside the shell of empty souls
My tears fall through and rest
Upon the broken heart inside
That's vacant from neglect.

Now night has found me searching
Among the shadows deep
Afraid to look beyond your words
For fear of what I'll see.

A glance there in the moments
That still haunt my memories
Could just as surely cut me
Or strip my sanity.

Now thoughts become elusive
so my soul won't have a clue
And once again my heart can be
A bigger fool for you.
