Rest In Peace, Sweet Memories

by Twisted Heart   Jun 24, 2007

In the corner of existence
Lying on the tattered field
Are broken thoughts of heartache
In my soul they never yield.

Shattering sweet remembrance
Lost for the constant pain
The thoughts that whip me in the night
Come tearing once again.

The shadows creep inside the mind
No comfort do they bring
Slaying innocents that lived
So happy in my dreams.

With tempered fire from the breath
Burnt offerings left inside
No longer feeding memories
Struck down by bitter tides.

Only ash is drifting there
Sweet memories have gone
Lost in loneliness despair
Only tainted thoughts live on.

So rest in peace, sweet memories
Your death, the final sin
No longer can I weep for thee
For heartache's settled in.
