Fog

Time ticks loudly
As I watching the shadows on my wall
I try to understand
Why it is that we must fall

I can’t escape this loneliness
And I can’t seem to erase this pain.
And now I feel my heart shutting down
Just so I can remain sane.

Now the rain is falling hard
As my heart breaks more
This something that I can’t seem to forget
Unfortunately, it seems to be something we can no longer ignore.

I love you with all my heart and soul
You’re my twin soul and best friend.
This overwhelming love
Is something I don’t want to end

Letting go of you
Is something I fear
Sometimes I’m afraid it’s best for you
Then comes the pain and tears.

The confusion seems to control me
I haven’t even a slight clue
My heart is hurting more and more
As I struggle with what to do.

I seem to be blinded
I have painful fog all around me
As I search for answers
My love for you is all I see.
