The day i met you
doesn't seem that far
3 months have gone by
since i met you in his car

you used to seem so happy
you didn't give a damn
it was the way to be
till the day you grabbed his hand

slowly you fell apart
mesmerized by his eyes
how were you to know
his words were only lies

and tho my loyalty lied with him
the day he pushed you down
was the day i had to turn
our friendships around

i watched him call you names
i watched him tear you down
i watched your life change
i watched your smile frown

and tho you took advantage
of the friend i tried to be
walking away from you
was still so hard for me

but now i refuse
to let you tear me down
if you are to stay with him
ill simply see you around town

and tho it hurts to know
i had to walk away
i suppose our friendship wasn't real
maybe you'll see someday
