The Day I Found My Happiness

Out of the corner of my eye i see it,
Waiting for something that will never come,
Hopes sky high,
Feeling of rejection and loss,

I see it,
Over in the corner,
Lurking in the shadows,
Everywhere i go,
I turn and see it,

One day i bumped into him dropping everything i had,
I reached down as i pick up my things,
Our hands meet,
Touching,
The world slows down,
Nothing mattered,
A smile approached my face,

That was the day i found my happiness,
That was the day i lost the feeling of sadness,
Gone from the shadows around me,
That was the day the weight lifted off my shoulders,
That was the day i smiled in years .... for a reason,

He became my reason,
My happiness found its way home,
A sudden feeling of faith in my life grew,

I have fallen into a deep abyss,
Which now i can not escape,
An abyss of happiness,
I dont wanna leave,

Just me and you,
Together,
Alone,
Holding eachother,

This was the day i found my happiness,
I hope this feeling stays with me forever and eternity,
My life is bound to you,
You are my reason for happiness.
