That smile, those beautiful, happy eyes
Those adventurous outings, filled with surprise

Just a memory

Your touch, wonderful and gentle
those feelings, so beautiful, so sentimental

Just a memory

That embrace, so warm, so safe
they way you'd make everything seem great

Just a memory

The way you'd wipe my tears, so kind
The way you'd make everything alright

Just a memory

That last night, that last kiss
that night I knew something was amiss

It's just a memory

The way you held my hand and said
"I'll miss you, love, but it'll be okay in the end"

Just a memory

Then kissed my cheek and your eyes became glazed
in tears you could no longer save

and you promised me, that in time you would be
nothing but an insignificant memory

    Awww i really liked this poem, your feelings were clearly shown and i can relate, it is always heart breking to find that things are only now a memort, but in contrast to saying thta , id rather a memory than nothing! great write though very inspiring. keep your head up

    Memories. sometimes i'm glad that i have memories othertimes i hate them. it's so sad when ppl leave but memories are what makes it better and helps you get through.
    i love how you putting a quote from the persona in it. it helps add authenticity. well done xoxo

    I actually liked this one a lot!

    it's simple, but very touching.
    i like how you repeat the phrase "just a memory." the repitition really sticks the fact that all the nice things are just a memory in the reader's head.
