maybe a little too much
i get a good feeling
from your smile, from your touch

your arms around my waist
your lips upon mine
why can't you see
it's our time to shine

i don't know what to do
it's not just a crush
a tiny little look from you
and my heart turns to mush

i can't wait around forever
why can't you make up your mind
that's right-there's another girl
and without knowing-she's making you blind

blind to what i could give you
blind to what i could be
when i walk past you, you don't even look
who am i kidding-you don't care about me

did our kiss mean nothing
did i do something wrong
are you afraid of rejection
or did i come on too strong

my mind is confused
my heart-it works just fine
so all it really comes down to
are you hers or are you mine

day and night i think about you
I'm losing too much sleep
i don't know what to do anymore
I've even tried counting sheep

as i sit and write this poem
I've cried so many tears
i wish you were here beside me
to protect me from my fears

i can't keep going on like this
crying myself to sleep every night
there's a battle inside my body
and my heart is losing the fight

my mind tells me to move on
my heart say you'll change your mind
but while looking for your love
i realize, it's something hard to find

maybe I'm not looking good enough
maybe you can't see
that everything you want in a girlfriend
you're looking at when you look at me.
