A Girl

by Skyra   Jul 23, 2007

A girl who never fits in
A lonely girl who always sins
An unwanted tear falls from her eye
As again, her conscience decides to lie
She wishes she could turn back on the path she's on
She knows on it, she doesn't belong
She longs to be on the path of right and true
That she hopelessly pursues...
At night she crawls to the corner of her bed
And her knees support her head
She cried to her lonesome self
Knowing that she is beyond help
Now understanding she can't go back
So trust rated, her tears start to lack
The blood drips openly from her wound
Hoping to seal her fateful doom
Now she can see her reflection in the pool
And now she's so happy in a world so cruel
No one's going to miss her, so why should she care?
She's going to a world that is fair.
plunging down and down into death
She struggles to breathe and gasps her last breath
The next morning, her parents find her on her bed
Finally realizing their daughter was dead.
Her skin deathly pale,
And she looked oh so frail
Her skin was clammy and her body dripped in cold sweat
Her parents washed over with regret
The minister said she could've been saved
With the attention that she had craved
So now that girl lies six feet down
Underneath the cold, hard ground.
