To us kids

Here is to the kids people call different
the kids who
sit alone
eat alone
wanting someone special of their own.
the ones no one seems to care about
the ones that shoot at the school, since it was so cruel
people ask why....As if it aint obvious
if you'd just be kind
and tell someone whose alone...
a sweet hello you'd make a difference
(with the ones so small)
and soon kids in a whole
would know someone cares
about who is alone
