Satori

by Sean Allen   Apr 25, 2004

Green piece of glitter,
On the carpet floor.
Little piece of glitter,
Is it nothing more?
A shinning little beacon
Against the sea of gray.
Will the light soon weaken,
And sink into dismay?
When my fears are broken,
When the cold heart finally thaws,
The gracious word has been spoken,
Escape from grasping claws.
Brown leaf that was beneath
My feet, not hanging on the wall.
What lesson did you have to teach,
Why did you have to fall?
Of all the leaves in the breeze,
Why is that one to die?
The only one that was ready to please,
Fate is ironic and sly.
The haters that keep on hating,
Those who have too much nerve.
To this day I'm still debating
What sentence do they finally serve?
