Memory Lane

by Alicia   Jul 27, 2007

The memories i have of you and me,
are as precious as my family.
The times we laughed unitl we cried
The past fights that issued within our minds.
Those times were moment just stood still,
when we didn't have any worries at all.

There we were one of a kind .
We were pretty much aligned.
Secrets in which we sweared to keep
So no to cause the other to weep.

It happened at such a slow rate
We both missed the rift
Didn't see it until it was too late
The relationship started to shift
When you thought your date
Was more of a lift
Than spending time with your best mate

Where did that feeling originate?
That look of pure and utter distaste
Where you just left me to be burnt
By a lesson of friendship not previously learnt

Next time you looked for me
When your relationship fell apart with your boy
I had set myself free
No longer your little puppet toy
