Life

by Rebecca   Jul 28, 2007

Driving across the world
with the window wide open
and a slight breeze blowing on my face
the silent calm that envelops me
soothes the worries i have

The fields fly by
the beauty not even being noticed
cars fly past
going in the opposite direction

Time goes on
being ignored by everyone around
cars rush past
forgetting that life should be enjoyed

We get stuck in a traffic jam
and as people get impatient
I sit back
and enjoy the time I have

Tie is precious
and life can be so little
People live there lives always rushing
and they never see the beauty
that the world can bring

Music plays in the background
and I stop to listen
It makes me remember
when I was one of them
rushing through my life
as if it was nothing.
